YUIKO RÁYKA
Japanese contemporary artist, born and currently lives in Tokyo, Japan.
She works in mixed media, installations and media art including NFTs. She consistently expresses the magnificence of our individual existence and the unknown possibilities that we all have. In recent years she has particularly focused on our human creativity and our evolving spirits toward a new era.
Graduated from Kyoto Seika University, Faculty of Art, BFA in painting. Studied gold and silversmithing at the Australian National University School of Art & Design. After working as a graphic designer at a video production company in Germany, she returned to Japan and started working as an illustrator in 2010. Her works have been used in book covers, TV program character designs, fashion brands, hotel rooms, and stage designs.
In 2014, she shifted to becoming an artist and began creating mixed media and installation works. Since then, her works have been exhibited in art fairs such as Affordable Art Fair NYC (2015), ART KAOHSIUNG (2015, 2017), Art Stage Jakarta (2017), Art Expo Malaysia Plus (2017), Affordable Art Fair Milan (2020), London Art Fair (2022), Seattle Art Fair and exhibitions in Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, Taipei, Rome, etc. In 2021, she began creating media art using NFTs and Metaverse and has joined in many NFT projects.
